Community Support

Carers’ Resource
Carer's Resource, Bradford, works directly with people who are looking after relatives, friends, or neighbours, who could not manage otherwise due to frailty, illness, addiction or disability. These carers often don't recognise themselves as 'Carers' and don't know that there is support available. SaveCo works with the charity to raise awareness for unpaid caring and to raise funds.

My Healthy Mind
SaveCo works closely with health and well being coach and consultant Ashfaq Ahmed from MyHealthyMind to promote and advocate for mental health issues in the community.
The primary objective of MyHealthyMind is to promote early intervention, ensuring that all members of diverse communities can receive timely support and lead healthy, balanced lives, regardless of the mental health challenges they may experience.

JKN OUTREACH - Community Support Service
At SaveCo, we have established food donation points where you can contribute food items to assist those in need within the Bradford community.
JKN Outreach is dedicated to actively supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals in Bradford.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous customers at SaveCo Cash & Carry for their contributions to the JKN food bank collection basket and donation box.

Leeds Abbey Dash 10k Run for Age UK
Our team at SaveCo participated in the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k Run in support of Age UK. For several team members, this event marked their inaugural run, and despite the inclement weather, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This endeavor was a commendable effort for a noble cause. Collectively, we raised approximately £1,000 for Age UK and Age UK Bradford District.
SaveCo Bradford has established a partnership with Age UK Bradford District as our local charity. Donations to Age UK Bradford District can be made through our online checkout system, and we extend our gratitude to all customers who have contributed with each order. Age UK Bradford District plays a vital role in assisting older individuals. Unfortunately, 1.2 million seniors across the UK report experiencing feelings of loneliness. Age UK Bradford District is committed to providing essential information, support, companionship, and guidance to the older population in greatest need.

Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative
For several years, SaveCo has sponsored the 'Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative,' which takes place five times a year and benefits the children's wards at Airedale Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary. These gifts are provided to children in need, regardless of their faith or ethnicity, to bring them moments of happiness and joy during what can be a lonely and distressing time away from their families. Over the past 11 years, Nazim Ali Foundation has conducted 36 visits to these children's wards, delivering toys and gifts. Saveco Cash & Carry has generously contributed thousands of pounds worth of brand new items suitable for children aged 0 to 17, including a variety of toys, play sets, games, and sports equipment. SaveCo's commitment has made it possible to bring smiles to hundreds of children over the years.

Too Good To Go
SaveCo is pleased with the success of our ongoing partnership with Too Good To Go, the UK's leading surplus food redistribution service.
Since the partnership in 2020, we have supplied hundreds of low cost 'Magic Bags' containing products that have expired but not passed their 'use-by' date, to customers rather than destroying them.
